50 Cent is working on an adaptation of heist shooter game ‘Payday’

Curtis Jackson AKA 50 Cent has joined the live-action TV adaptation of the Payday games as executive producer. READ MORE: Lil Tecca talks headlining ‘Fortnite Festival’ and making ‘GTA’-inspired rap The original Payday:The Heist game was released in 2011 and sold more than 400,000 thousand copies in its first three months. “Payday: The Heist is an action filled first person shooter that lets players take on the role of a hardened career criminal executing intense, dynamic heists in constant pursuit of the next ‘big score’,” reads an official description of the game. Two sequels followed – 2013’s Payday 2 and 2023’s Payday 3 – alongside a number of spin-offs. According to developers Starbreeze, the franchise has sold more than 50million units. Earlier this year, an adaptation of Payday was announced by Starbreeze in collaboration with Vice Studios. The game developers have now confirmed 50 Cent has joined the project as executive producer alongside his G-Unit Film & Television company.
