A24 details Primetime film soundtrack with Phoebe Bridgers song

The release coincides with the film’s theatrical run. The album collects 24 score pieces by Ari Balouzian and an end-titles song, “On Video”, by Bridgers. “Savior”, the first track to be shared from the record, is out now. According to the announcement, Robert Pattinson listened to it on set to get into character. Directed by Lance Oppenheim, Primetime stars Pattinson, Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, and Bridgers, who makes her acting debut. The film premiered at the Venice International Film Festival. Balouzian, a co-founder of the music production studio Appraiser, performed and recorded most of the music himself. “I started working on PRIMETIME after reading the script, and had access to the dailies while they were shooting, so the process started super early,” Balouzian said. “Lance and I were able to craft the sound during filming so they could edit to it. The process helped the music become a part of the emotional identity of the movie that the actors and other artisans could actually interact with."
