Big Hit, Father Of Hit-Boy, Returns To Prison, Producer Says They Have 700 Songs On Deck

Big Hit, the father of prolific producer and rapper Hit-Boy, was released from prison in May of last year and promptly dropped his debut album helmed by his son. According to a post on Instagram, it appears that Big Hit is back behind bars but Hit-Boy says that his father recorded hundreds of songs in his brief time out.

By way of a video clip of Big Hit speaking on a jail phone through glass, Hit-Boy shared the news with his fans regarding his father’s current legal predicament.

people used to ask me what was i on dropping so much music and moving around with my pops so much, in the back of my mind the paranoia of him going back was always there and here we are.. we don’t know what the future holds but Big Hit sends his love to all his supporters. He recorded over 700 songs when he was out so we got more music otw.

Before his May 2023 release, Big served nine years in prison. Before then, Big served almost two years before releasing a slate of singles in 2014 ahead of the aforementioned nine-year bid. Big also had a busy in 2024, dropping two projects, Black & Whites with Hit-Boy and The Alchemist on production, and Paisley Dreams, a collaborative project with The Game.

It isn’t known when Hit-Boy intends to release the vaulted music from his father.
