Billboard Style sign to Good English Records and detail debut album, Pull of the Moon

Guterl and Howard met for the first time at a Maryland house show over a decade ago, and spent years making bedroom pop albums under the name Ben Special, with Guterl writing, singing and playing guitar, while Howard drummed, produced and mixed. The pair's first album as Billboard Style is described as more "off the wall" pop, with "Pull of the Moon" arriving as the first taster. “This song is about desire and wanting someone so bad it’s like a little parasite that nestles in your brain and rewires your thoughts,” Guterl explains. “It’s about how you always lose a part of yourself in pursuit of someone else and how you might not care because love is intoxicating and maybe that’s the shit life is all about." The songs on Pull of the Moon were written and produced over several years, and eventually recorded at Chateau Grand Studios in Brooklyn, with Guterl and Howard developing greater confidence in their creative partnership and sharing in songwriting durities. “This album was made over so many different instances and times in our life," Howard says.
