Bloc Party – “Love Bombs”

2 hours ago 1

Bloc Party are building the hype for their upcoming record Anatomy Of A Brief Romance. First we heard "Coming On Strong," and now we're getting another preview with a dissonant, oddball serenade called "Love Bombs."

"At the start of a new relationship our feelings of connection can make us do dramatic things," Kele Okereke explains. "'Love Bombs' is the sound of a new love flowering, in beautiful romantic gestures. But under the surface is the ever present fear that maybe this new love, although shiny and great, maybe this new love might not last forever."

The lyrics are amusing: "I'm thinking about collecting your laughter/ And sealing it safe in a jar." Cute! "I'm thinking about framing the napkin you bled on/ And mounting it on my wall." Gnarly! Hear it below.

Anatomy Of A Brief Romance is out 9/11 on cOnTAGIOUS LTD/Virgin.
