Bruce Springsteen has shared that his wife and bandmate, Patti Scialfa, is now in cancer remission after eight years. Scialfa, who is a member of the E Street Band, confirmed in 2024 that she had been living with multiple myeloma – a rare form of blood cancer – since 2018. “This affects my immune system, so I just have to be careful what I choose to do and where I choose to go,” she explained at the time. Last Saturday (August 1), Springsteen gave an update on his wife’s health during a fundraiser event for the Pan-Mass Challenge bike race – which benefits Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where Scialfa has been treated. In the video message, he said: “As you know, Patti’s been living with her multiple myeloma for over eight years.
