Bruce Springsteen will headline a Stand Up For Heroes veterans benefit show in New York in November. READ MORE: Bruce Springsteen live in London: the heartland hero remains firmly at his majestic peak The fundraiser is set to take place at David Geffen Hall at the Lincoln Center in Manhattan on November 9, and it will mark the 20th anniversary of Stand Up For Heroes, which is held in connection with the New York Comedy Festival. Also on the bill will be ‘Ordinary’ star Alex Warren and The Resilient, a band made up primarily of severely wounded US combat veterans. Jon Stewart, Hasan Minhaj and The Daily Show‘s Josh Johnson will also perform comedy sets. Stand Up For Heroes launched in 2006 and held its first major event the following year. It supports veterans, service members and their families and over two decades, it has raised $117million (£86million) for its cause.
