Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 first season has been one of the most content-rich seasons we have seen for a Call of Duty game. From the new maps in multiplayer to the Warzone additions, battle pass items and unlocks, alongside all the new modes and playlist tweaks, you can’t say Treyarch hasn’t done a great job at keeping things fresh.
But, with each season comes another one after it and eyes are now turning to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 and when it may release. Here is what we know thanks to the battle pass timer in game.
‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’ Season 2 Release Date
‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’ Season 2 will release on Tuesday, 28 January, 2025, according to the in-game timer on the Battle Pass page in-game. This would put the first season at around two and a half months, which is about average for each Call of Duty season. Tuesday is the usual day for Call of Duty seasonal updates.
The image below was taken on November 15, 2024 before the daily reset, which lines up with January 28, 2025.
With this date, it means that Season 1 Reloaded should arrive sometime just before Christmas. Our guess would be on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, which is about five weeks after Season 1 began and when it will end.
As for content in Season 2, we don’t have any suggestions quite yet, but you can expect new multiplayer maps, weapons, events, and Zombies content, alongside Warzone updates. It is unlikely we will have another Zombies map as we are already getting one in Season 1, but we could see some new party modes or twists on how you can play Zombies.
We may also see the return of Verdansk in Warzone. The map is confirmed to be returning in 2025 and the five year anniversary of Warzone falls on March 10, 2025, which would be around when the Season 2 Reloaded update will launch. Hopefully we will see some more teases early next year.
