Techno titan Carl Cox trades festival mainstages for one of Los Angeles’ most storied ballrooms this November. Factory 93 is bringing techno legend Carl Cox back to Los Angeles on Friday, November 6, for a headline performance at the world famous Hollywood Palladium. Insomniac‘s underground house and techno arm has placed one of dance music’s most beloved figures inside a 1940s Sunset Boulevard ballroom that has hosted everyone from Frank Sinatra to Jay-Z. It will be a comparatively intimate setting for a selector who spends most of his calendar commanding festival mainstages and Ibiza superclubs. Nearly four decades into his career, Cox remains the genre’s great constant. The three-deck wizardry, the “Oh yes, oh yes” catchphrase Factory 93 borrowed for its announcement, and a touring schedule that would exhaust artists half his age have kept him at the center of techno’s conversation since the acid house era.
