Carly Rae Jepsen has hinted that she named her son after a character from Heated Rivalry. Speaking in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jepsen said creator, writer and director of the show, Jacob Tierney had asked her to write a song for season one but there was no budget. She went on to say it would a “dream” for her to pen a song for the second season before adding: “It was an incredible show. Ilya is the name of my son. Maybe, not maybe because of that show.” Season one of Heated Rivalry, based on the Game Changers books by Rachel Reid, premiered in November last year with its first two episodes.
