Charli XCX Shares More Music, Film

Last Friday, our great deconstructionist pop star Charli XCX released her new album Music, Fashion, Film. The record gets its title from a line in Charli's song "SS26": "Nothing's gonna save us/ Not music, fashion, or film." But even if those things won't save us, Charli continues to participate in all three arenas. Since the LP release, Charli has already shared more music and a film. No fashion, though, unless the mere act of being Charli XCX and wearing clothes counts as "sharing fashion."The new songs aren't entirely new. Before the release of Music, Fashion, Film, Charli dropped three non-album tracks — "I Keep Thinking About You Every Single Day And Night," "Playboy Bunny," and "If You Take Away The Music, Then What Has She Got?" — on an alternate Instagram account that she has since deactivated. She leaked her own songs, basically, and then she claimed that she'd never put them up on streaming. Thus far, she's held true to that claim. On Sunday, though she released downloads of all three songs. They're available on the "B-Sides Edition" of Music, Fashion, Film that's currently up for sale at iTunes.
