When Is Coachella 2026?

Coachella 2026 goes down across two weekends: Weekend 1, which runs Friday, April 10th to Sunday, April 12th, and Weekend 2 which runs Friday, April 17th to Sunday, April 19th. It takes place at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California.

How Can I Get Last-Minute Tickets to Coachella?

The best way to get last-minute Coachella Weekend 1 tickets is via the secondary market. StubHub has plenty of 3-day passes up for purchase, and if finding a hotel near the festival grounds isn’t looking good, StubHub also has camping passes available — and if you do have a hotel booked, there are also lots of shuttle passes available to get you in and out of the festival with ease.

VIP passes are also available for both weekends on StubHub. While VIP access doesn’t guarantee pit access to Coachella’s various stages, it does include dedicated entry and exit lanes, access to preferred parking, special food and drink options, private entry lane for the Yuma tent, enclosed VIP areas by the Coachella Stage, Outdoor Stage, Sahara Tent, and Mojave Tent, air-conditioned restrooms and shaded seating areas, and full no-host bars in VIP areas.

Passes for Weekend 2 can often be found for less than face value on StubHub, as Weekend 2 historically sees lower demand than Weekend 1. As of this writing, 3-day passes for Weekend 1 are at $1,074, with Weekend 2 at $795. Meanwhile, Coachella itself does not sell 1-day passes, but StubHub does; day passes may be cheaper depending on which weekend (especially the week of the festival).

As StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand — so definitely check back on StubHub ahead of each festival weekend, as prices may have dropped since this article has been published.

What’s the Difference Between Weekend 1 and Weekend 2?

The lineup for both Coachella weekends remains the same, though there are some slight differences in the overall festival experience. For one, the grass on the festival grounds is usually pretty thrashed after Weekend 1, and though the festival’s staff revives it to the best of their ability each year, Weekend 1 attendees certainly get better terrain to galavant on.

Meanwhile, Weekend 1 is often jam-packed with more special guests than Weekend 2, and typically features a higher percentage of livestream coverage. In recent years, special guests and surprise set additions have appeared during both weekends, though Weekend 1 tends to attract more of these moments.

Additionally, the Quasar and DoLab stages feature different performers each weekend, offering unique experiences for attendees of each weekend.

Still, every day of Coachella is unpredictable, no matter the weekend. As of this writing, the only surprise guest that has been confirmed for this year’s Coachella is a Weekend 1 performance from Not For Radio, the project of The Marías singer María Zardoya. But as far as other guests go, you never know who might show up for a last minute surprise.
