Coheed and Cambria have dropped a brand-new track, "Blind Side Sonny," offering the first glimpse into the band’s upcoming album. The new single pushes their musical boundaries, presenting what may be their most intense track yet, while at the same time introducing a new villain within their ongoing The Amory Wars/Vaxis universe.
In addition to the release of the single, the band has debuted a Max Moore-directed music video, in which you can see the band’s energy-packed performance in front of a passionate audience, while the insidious Sonny quietly infiltrates the crowd.
Vocalist Claudio Sanchez describes the song as a reflection on vengeance, stating, "'Blind Side Sonny' is a song about revenge. What may seem like an innocent choice to someone could be the breeding ground of another's malicious misunderstanding. Perception can be your worst enemy."
