Musician D4vd is now facing a lawsuit brought by the parents of the girl he is alleged to have killed, according to reports. As reported by the Los Angeles Times, Mercedes Martinez and Jesus Rivas, parents of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the alt-pop singer D4vd, born David Anthony Burke, on Monday. The lawsuit accuses Burke, 21, of the horrific killing of Hernandez, mirroring a criminal murder case against him, while also claiming Burke’s mother, bodyguard and his manager enabled him to sexually exploit the 14-year-old girl, according to TMZ, which broke the news about the filing of the lawsuit. Burke has pleaded not guilty in his criminal case. He will have 30 days to respond to the wrongful death lawsuit. The new lawsuit names Josh Marshall, Burke’s manager, Colleen Burke, Burke’s mom, and Sheldon Jacques, Burke’s bodyguard and says they knew or should have known about the singer’s exploitation of Hernandez and did nothing to stop it.
