Amsterdam Dance Event is an annual conference that also includes over 1,000 parties, gallery exhibits, and other kinds of events.
Mere days after the 2024 edition of Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) drew to a close, organizers have announced the 2025 edition. Next year, ADE will officially run from October 22-26, 2025 across all manner of venues in and around Amsterdam.
No speakers, performers or participating brands have been announced at the time of writing. While ADE is primarily a conference that has taken place annually since 1996, it also refers to club nights, concerts, festivals, pop-ups, and other kinds of events that take place throughout the Netherlands’ capital city throughout the coinciding run of dates.
Some of these gatherings are officially sanctioned and promoted by the organization that runs ADE. In 2024 alone, that included over 1,000 events at over 200 venues. All told, nearly 3,000 artists performed for a record of over 500,000 attendees from countries across the globe.
Many of the same event brands host parties in conjunction with ADE every year. For an idea of where to start if you’re planning to attend for the first time, take a look at our party roundup ahead of the 2024 event.
The debut 1996 edition of Amsterdam Dance Event took place at a hotel along the Vijzelgracht, one of Amsterdam’s famous canals. That year, only 300 or so delegates — as organizers refer to attendees of the conference — made the pilgrimage.
