Day Trip Festival NorCal Elevated the Brand to New Heights

Day Trip Festival NorCal perfectly complemented its SoCal counterpart, with a banging lineup, perfect weather, and amazing vibes. This past weekend, Insomniac expanded its Day Trip brand to new territory when Day Trip Festival NorCal landed at Discovery Meadow in San Jose on October 17-18. The festival delivered two days of house and techno excellence, and it ended up being my favorite Day Trip event I’ve ever attended. For starters, I’m not saying Day Trip Festival NorCal Festival was the brand’s best event, or that it’s better than SoCal, especially in its first year. I’m just saying I had an absolute blast at my first-ever Bay Area festival. Born and raised in San Jose and now living in Denver, I knew I wanted to attend this festival as soon as it was announced back in May. I’ve raved in the Bay before, but never in San Jose, because I moved away before getting involved in the scene. My Day Trip Festival NorCal endeavor was my first time back in the Bay Area in over two and a half years, so the excitement and expectations were through the roof.
