Almost all of the acts scheduled to perform at Donald Trump's Freedom 250 concert series have dropped off the lineup. Lee Greenwood kicked things off on Wednesday (June 25) and Vanilla Ice was supposed to keep it rolling last night. However, his concert was canceled two hours before showtime due to "inclement weather."
"We're about to have a great party tonight," the rapper said in a video on social media yesterday. "This is gonna be epic." Shortly after, Freedom 250 wrote on X, "The safety of our guests, staff, and partners remains our top priority. We are actively monitoring conditions and will provide updates as they become available."
The '90s music festival originally had Milli Vanilli, Young MC, and C+C Music Factory, but Vanilla Ice was the last one standing. Flo Rida is slated for July 2.
Ice's drummer Trent Laugerman posted on his Instagram Story last night, "I hate to announce it but there was thunderstorms rolling through and there might be one more and unfortunately they had to cancel the show. So. Not even really angry just kind of bummed because we were looking forward to it."
The Freedom 250 website says events are rain or shine, unless severe weather, but it looked like it just drizzled. Vanilla Ice is scheduled to perform in Tulare, CA tonight, so he won't be back with his brand new invention. Fairgoers can still visit the Lincoln Memorial Peeling Paint Pool.
⚠️ Due to inclement weather in the area, the Freedom 250 Great American State Fair and FIFA World Cup 2026™ Fan Zone will be closed for the rest of the day — Friday, June 26, 2026.
