On Monday, August 31, a Las Vegas jury found Duane Keith Davis aka Keffe D guilty of plotting the 1996 drive-by shooting of the beloved actor and rapper. The New York Times reports that the jury deliberated for about three hours before coming to its verdict. Keefe D was found guilty of first-degree murder, amongst other charges. Reportedly, the prosecution’s case relied heavily on Keffe D’s own words in various interviews and his own memoir, where he detailed the conspiracy to shoot Tupac. As for the defense, Keffe D’s lawyers maintained that their client is a liar. Sentencing is set for Oct. 13, 2006 and Keffe D is facing up to life in prison.
