The album follows 2024's Free Energy and the following remix collection Bubbelibrium DLC, with the quintet describing it as their “anti-zeitgeist” album. Where Free Energy leans into the spirit of the Madchester and rave culture, do you love the color of the sky? refers to post-rock and drone, with some pop inspiration from the likes of early Björk, The Sundays and Madonna's Ray of Light. Lead single "Full Spectrum Dominance" comments on AI and the devaluation of art. As guitarist Joe Trainor says: "I was trying to make something just heavier, and we joked it was our nu metal song, during the recording we added the tambourine that gives it a more dancey vibe, Deee-Lite meets Deftones." Keyboardist Emma adds: "This is the Technofeudalism bop. Tech billionaires are treating AI like the new Alchemy, using it as a source of power and magic. This supposedly soon-to-be all-powerful technology could not exist without harvesting all of humanity's intellectual property and collective work."
