Elastica announce expanded version of self-titled debut album

The new version is set to be pressed on double vinyl, CD and cassette, with the rarities and b-sides adding to the original fifteen tracks. Originally released in March 1995, the album captured the energy of what life in London felt like at the time. Mixed by producers including Alan Moulder, Phil Vinall and John Leckie, it continues to be revisited. "We're proud of this record and everything it represents," the band said in a statement. "Releasing this album in 1995 was a defining moment for all of us. After 30 years, to see these songs still hold meaning for people is very special to us."The reissue includes b-sides and rare tracks including "Spastica", "Cleopatra", "Car Wash", "Blue (Demo)", "Brighton Rock", "In the City", "Pussycat", "Rockunroll" and "Gloria". The vinyl edition features a poster of the original advert for the album, recreated from the band's own personal archive. Initial LP pre-orders will also receive a limited original flexi-disc of "Cleopatra" dating from 1995.Rough Trade Records has also taken over stewardship of Elastica's catalogue in collaboration with the band.
