Envision Festival Will Not Take Place in 2025

Envision Festival’s organizers have shared plans to “rebuild with intention” and return in 2026.

Music lovers looking forward to the next edition of Envision Festival in Uvita, Costa Rica will have to wait until 2026, according to the organizers.

A post on the Envision Festival website explains that the eclectic gathering “will be officially postponing to 2026.” It frames the turn of events as an “opportunity to rebuild with intention, creating a stronger foundation that honors where we’ve come from, our mission, and the values we stand for.”

As with an increasing number of other festivals’ organizers, those of Envision cite recent market factors as having forced their hand. “Envision Festival has faced significant challenges in recent years, including the impact of the pandemic, rising costs, and industry shifts,” they wrote. “These circumstances have driven us to take a pause to reflect and rebuild with a focus on sustainability, community, and our commitment to fostering a deep connection with nature.”

Envision Festival inaugurated in 2011 and touted itself as a permaculture festival, striving to make a net positive impact on the surrounding environment and community. The 2024 event ran from March 4-11 and featured performances by artists such as CloZee, Bonobo, Maddy O’Neal, Opiuo, and TOKiMONSTA.

Also this year, an Envision Festival attendee named Nicholas “Panda” Davila was allegedly kidnapped in the parking lot and found dead three hours away. Organizers told Costa Rican newspaper La Nación that they would address the incident in an official statement, but they still have yet to follow through.

Beyond the promise of a 2026 event “that goes Back to our Roots,” Envision Festival’s statement closes out by alluding to plans to expand its scope of operations. It reads, “We are eager to share with you all of the additional ways that Envision is growing, beyond the annual festival.”
