Ezra Collective share new instrumental track, “Jubilee Feeling”

"Jubilee Feeling" follows previous singles “Only Love” featuring Pa Salieu which drew inspiration from West Africa, and "Well Organised” featuring Lila Iké which was inspired by the Caribbean. The new track ties this together in London to celebrate the movement of people, culture and sound across generations, and how this has shaped contemporary British music. Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, singer Femi Koleoso says: “The word Jubilee is very precious to me. Not just because it’s the name of the church I grew up at, and the name of the youth group I work at, but its actual meaning — ‘the year of Jubilee, a year when everyone’s debts are settled, all prisoners set free’ — is almost like an equalisation day, a celebration to say we can start all over again." "I often think about what that feeling of Jubilee must be like; being someone who maybe doesn’t even deserve to be set free, to have your debts wiped, but it happens anyway," he continues.
