Fans think My Chemical Romance‘s latest teasers go beyond ‘The Black Parade‘ tour and could hint at new music.

On November 12, the emo icons announced a US tour in celebration of their 2006 album ‘The Black Parade’, kicking off on July 11 2025 at the T-Mobile Park in Seattle.

From there, Gerard Way and co will make stops in cities such as San Fransisco, Los Angeles, Arlington, East Rutherford, Philadelphia, Toronto and more. The tour will wrap up at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on September 13.

Each show will feature a different hand-selected artist as opening support – Violent Femmes100 GecsWallowsGarbageDeath Cab for Cutie and ThursdayAlice CooperPixiesDevo, IDLES and Evanescence are all set to perform, which many fans have already been reacting to.

Tickets went live this morning (November 15) at 10am. Check out a full list of tour dates below and visit here to purchase tickets.

Following yet another teaser video shared to their Instagram today (November 15), fans are speculating that there could be more to the news than the tour. The band have also shared cryptic one word captions including “Opera” and “Good Boy”, which many believe might be new song titles.

Under a Reddit post about potential new music, fans have pieced together potential clues about new videos.

“So, the Taylor Swift fans figured this out,” it read. “Youtube’s total video number showed on a channel includes private & unlisted videos. If a video’s total number of uploads goes up by one but no video appears, it’s because a video has been uploaded that’s private or unlisted.

“The MCR channel’s total was 162 for ages and ages, and it went up to 163 a couple of days ago, that 1 new video being the trailer.” They said it was 163 on the November 12, but “this morning, it’s 164.”

Elsewhere, fans were sharing their hopes for new music in the comments section of the band’s Instagram. “A new album would mean so much to people who cannot afford to go see them live. I hope they are thinking of those fans also,” wrote one.

Others were less serious. “Keep edging me I’m into that,” quipped one, with another commenter joking: “The fuck does that mean michael romans.”

Most took note of the comments section being on to begin with, taking that as a sign a new album might be in the works: “MCR POST WITH THE COMMENTS ON?? OMG NEW ALBUM POSSIBLY???” asked one, with another simply asking how everyone felt: “HOLY SHIT THE COMMENTS ARE ON?? how we doing y’all?

Last month, the band reunited at When We Were Young festival and performed the album in its entirety.

The band’s most recent material was 2022’s ‘The Foundations of Decay’ – a surprise single that marked their first new release in eight years, with their last full-length album being 2010’s ‘Danger Days’.
