FEED THE BLOCK, one of Vegas’ biggest block parties, kicked off its 2026 season with an energetic performance from Marshmello that sent attendees off the wall — literally.
It never ceases to amaze me how Las Vegas can turn a simple Thursday night into one of the biggest parties of the year, and that’s what FEED THE BLOCK has done since its inception. The free block party series, organized by Wynn Nightlife and Corner Bar Management, appeared on the Las Vegas EDM scene for its inaugural celebration last year. It reeled in some of the biggest names in dance music, leaving Las Vegas locals and visitors awaiting more.
The popular annual event brings the Downtown Las Vegas community together through live music, food, and entertainment. This year’s edition kicked off with no disappointments as EDM staple Marshmello took to the decks, sparking an evening of excitement and wonder.
I’ve had Marshmello take me to new heights on the streets of Sin City, but not like this. The GRAMMY-nominated DJ and producer electrified the crowd with iconic hits like “Alone” before leaving a lasting mark with a beautiful Avicii tribute that had everyone in their feels.
“Bringing an artist of Marshmello’s caliber off property and to the streets of downtown Las Vegas speaks to the power of this partnership. We’re proud to help bring the community together and create unforgettable moments,” Wynn Las Vegas Senior Vice President of Nightlife Ryan Jones said in a press release.
Marshmello’s stage was the ForestHouse Art Car. The giant art piece has been a highlight and curiosity at Burning Man, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Life is Beautiful. It served as the larger-than-life centerpiece of a cinematic night.
Beyond the amazing headliner, FEED THE BLOCK, is also an opportunity to revel in some of the best nightlife the Downtown Las Vegas area has to offer. With the massive, open-air dancefloor right outside of We All Scream, Lucky Day, Cheapshot, and Discopussy, the party continued into the wee hours of the morning. More than 20,000 music fans came together at the intersection of 6th and Fremont Street to dance with Marshmello and the EDM community.
“FEED THE BLOCK was built on the belief that world-class music should be accessible to everyone, and the response from fans in our first season proved that downtown Las Vegas is ready to be a global stage for dance music,” Corner Bar Management Founder Ryan Doherty said in a press release.
Attendees could RSVP for free, but those who upgraded to VIP enjoyed a sizeable 21+ viewing area with enough space to dance freely, not to mention a complimentary cocktail. The official afterparty at Commonwealth for the Corner Bar’s Birds of a Feather event series offered a rooftop from which revelers could take it all in, overlooking both the Downtown Las Vegas area and the stage where Marshmello performed.
It was a night that left excited EDM lovers literally hanging from the rafters. But for me, it was a reminder of the booming EDM community in Las Vegas.
FEED THE BLOCK catapults Sin City’s already thriving EDM culture.
From the moment I walked onto Fremont Street, the usual buzz in the air felt like it had reached new heights. Collective energy beamed from the happy-go-lucky ravers that crowded into the area. It was as if the EDM community was sending a clear message to Las Vegas locals and its visitors: “We’re here to stay, and we’re here to party.” And that they did!
Although it was a Thursday night, folks arrived early, donning their best rave ‘fits and ready to rage from the first beat drop to the last. As they hoisted up totems while sporting kandi and sprouts, the April series catalyst event felt like a mini festival. PLUR was very much in effect, as the crowded streets didn’t stop people from sharing the space and enjoying moments together.

The FEED THE BLOCK series kicked off in 2025 with big names like Gryffin, Major Lazer, and Diplo. All have performed at the Las Vegas Strip’s many clubs over the past few years. The same could be said about Marshmello.
On any given weekend in Las Vegas, you could find Marshmello laying down the music at a Sin City nightclub or dayclub. But here’s what makes all of these artists special: Your experience watching them at a Las Vegas club will be vastly different from watching them at a music festival or, in this case, a free block party.
Marshmello gave a standout, festival-worthy performance at FEED THE BLOCK on Thursday, April 2. From seamless transitions through his classics like “Happier” to iconic EDM anthems like David Guetta and Kid Cudi‘s “Memories,” his hour-and-a-half performance unfolded into an organic, cinematic experience.
Not only that, but his Avicii tribute served as a reminder of the lasting impact EDM can make on an entire community. Vegas continues to swell during these moments of togetherness, and artists like Marshmello will forever remain a Las Vegas staple for helping put events like this on the map.

As Marshmello left the stage that Thursday night, Downtown Las Vegas kept the same energy. One thing I love about Sin City is how everyone gets behind events like FEED THE BLOCK. Nightlife institutions surrounding the major block party fed off the atmosphere instilled by the event.
Beyond the clubs and bars billed as afterparty venues, the streets buzzed with an electricity akin to a Friday night after a huge festival. I walked away from the amazing night FEED THE BLOCK had provided yearning for more.
For Wynn Nightlife and Corner Bar Management, the party season is just getting started. FEED THE BLOCK organizers have not yet announced who will perform next in this year’s series, but it is confirmed that the next free EDM block party should take place downtown in the coming months.
