Fontaines D.C. Debut New Songs “Marianne” & “Six Shot Morning” In Cádiz Live Return

Fontaines D.C. have been laying low since releasing and touring 2024’s Romance. In the meantime, they’ve contributed to several major projects, including the Peaky Blinders soundtrack and the War Child compilation HELP(2). Late last month, they also recorded the final BBC session at Maida Vale Studios, where they performed “Roy’s Tune” for the first time since 2024.Now, they’re back onstage for a handful of gigs. The band made their return at Baluarte de la Candelaria in Cádiz, Spain, playing the first of two nights at the venue. It was their first concert since the death of longtime manager and “sixth member of the band” Trevor Dietz this summer. Their set featured two new songs, “Marianne” and “Six Shot Morning.” “Marianne” has some unmistakable Depeche Mode vibes, while “Six Shot Morning” seems more ominous, synth-driven. Both feel like an intriguing continuation of the Lynchian sonics explored on Romance, suggesting the band may be heading somewhere different next.Check out footage of the new music below.
