Former PORNO FOR PYROS Bassist MARTYN LENOBLE Fires Off Angry Tweets About Former Frontman PERRY FARRELL

Following the fallout from Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell throwing a punch at his band’s guitarist Dave Navarro, one of Farrell’s other former bandmates is sounding off about Farrell. Former bassist for Farrell’s other major project, Porno for Pyros, Martyn LeNoble, fired off a series of since-delelted tweets yesterday blasting the frontman for his attitude.

“I can say, unequivocally, that Perry has been the worst frontman I've ever worked with,” LeNoble wrote on Twitter. “Always a kind word, followed by shitty actions. The fish rots from the head down. I still don't understand how he channeled some of those great lyrics & vocals on the first two Jane's records.”

“And I've worked with some ‘difficult’ singers,” LeNoble continued. “All kinder, better, and more talented. I judge people by their actions… not by their banter about ‘spiritually.’ [Mark Lanegan], [Scott Weiland], Layne [Staley], [Dave Gahan],

etc.”

"Perry doesn't show up for rehearsals, sound checks, writing, etc,” said LeNoble. “He jumps in late with shitty lyrics. Some I had to tell him were terrible. Unprepared, wild eyed, not present, high. Motherfucker does it over and over again."

"And [Farrell’s wife] Etty is a horrible person. 'I will sue you…. We have money to burn.' Let's see where that goes."

Martyn LeNoble left Porno for Pyros shortly before what would become their farewell tour in 2024, and his parting seemed to be amicable at the time. Last November he posted on Instagram announcing his departure from the project saying “I wish my brothers Perry, Pete and Stephen the best. I’m truly grateful for every moment I spent with them.” It’s unclear if something happened to sour LeNoble on Farrell since then, aside from the incident at the Jane’s Addiction show in Boston.
