Shygirl is back with her first single of the year. She wrote and produced “Alyse” with Karma Kid and JD Reid. Directed by Francesco Loy Bell and Oliver Bell, the song’s six-minute, three-act video begins in media res—as two halves of a wealthy couple each discover the other’s affair—and culminates with a chase through the streets of London. Only towards the end of the clip does Shygirl herself make an appearance. Watch it below.
The last—and only—Shygirl full-length to date is 2022’s Nymph. Last year, she dropped two projects: Club Shy Room 2, the sequel to her 2024 EP Club Shy, and Alias is Me, a remix companion to 2020’s original Alias with contributions from Sega Bodega, George Riley, JT, and Nick León, among others. She also teamed up with Eartheater for a pair of singles, “Shark Brain” and “Dolphin.”
