Ahead of their upcoming self-titled album, Foxing have unveiled “Hell 99,” a blistering new song that ranks amongst the heaviest, most hectic tunes in the band’s catalog. Stream the track below.

Kicking off with little more than screaming, the rest of the band then rushes in with massive guitar tones and enough energy to power a small town. The propulsion continues throughout the track until its noisy, ethereal outro.

“‘Hell 99’ is about burnout and fatigue,” band member Eric Hudson said in a statement. “It is meant to capture frustration and mania with repeating cultural trends, the way a cat video and a horrifying news story can be viewed in successive moments, and the mental fatigue and shame that you are left with in taking it all in.”

Check out the whacked-out, New Year’s Eve-themed music video below.

Foxing is set for release on September 13th via the band’s own Grand Paradise label. The record was announced alongside lead single “Greyhound,” an eight-minute epic, and follows 2021’s Draw Down the Moon. Pre-order your vinyl copy now.

Foxing have also announced a fall 2024 US tour. See the full schedule of dates, and get tickets here.
