Today in stories that most certainly won’t stir up controversy in our comments section, popular hardcore festival FYA Fest announced its new location for 2025 to be the Orlando Amphitheater in Orlando, Florida following the festival’s relocation from its longtime venue due to controversy.
The festival has typically taken place in Tampa at the Shanna and Bryan Glazer Jewish Community Center but, as Brooklyn Vegan reports, the JCC sparked controversy as the organization seems to be Zionist and financially supports the IDF, which didn’t sit well with the hardcore community. The festival held off on selling tickets while they worked to secure a new venue, which was finally announced today.
While the new venue is approximately 90 miles away in Orlando, the festival did manage to keep the same dates that were originally announced when the festival was in Tampa. It could prove inconvenient to those who were counting on the festival being in Tampa, but at least there’s no double inconvenience of having to move the dates of the festival, too.
With the unveiling of the new location comes the addition of three more acts: Stout, Fatal Realm, and Home Invasion. Other than that, the lineup remains largely the same from the initial announcement. The complete list of bands and days is as follows:
