‘Game Of Thrones’ star Charles Dance in talks to join ‘The Batman 2’

Game Of Thrones actor Charles Dance is in talks to join The Batman Part II, to play the role of Harvey Dent’s father.

The veteran actor, known for playing Tywin Lannister in the HBO fantasy series, is said to be circling the role according to a new article by The Hollywood Reporter. Harvey Dent, who goes on to be Batman’s nemesis Two Face, will be played by Sebastian Stan, with Scarlett Johansson also attached to the project.

Dance is a veteran of the big and small screens, with an acting career that stretches back several decades. His notable film credits include Alien 3, The Imitation Game, and Guillermo Del Toro’s recent adaptation of Frankenstein. In 2023, he revealed he almost auditioned for the role of James Bond in the 1980s, before being talked out of it.

The Batman: Part II is scheduled for release on October 1, 2027, and will see Robert Pattinson returning to the title role, along with Matt Reeves as director. James Gunn, who took over as head of the revamped DC Universe after the first film was released, defending the five year wait between films, urging fans not be to “entitled”. He also confirmed that Batman’s sidekick, Robin, would not be in the film despite rumours.

In January, Pattinson revealed how be made several tracks of as-yet-unreleased ambient music on the set of the first film, all while dressed as Batman. “During Batman, I made tons and tons of ambient electronic music,” he said. “I was in a tent the whole time, basically, whenever I was on a break on Batman, and I’ve got my headphones over the bat ears and I’m making electronic music on MPC with my vape, done up like Batman.”
