Gary Oldman Leads His Team Against Hugo Weaving in Slow Horses Season 4 Trailer: Watch

Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for Slow Horses Season 4, in which Agent Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) will return to lead his ragtag team of MI5 “rejects.” Watch it below.

This trailer begins with a suicide attack on a shopping center that “detonates personal secrets, rocking the already unstable foundations of Slough House,” per the official logline. Toward the end of the clip, we learn that Lamb’s team is on its heels after the season’s big bad (played by Hugo Weaving) takes one of them out.

So when Lamb’s boss (Kristin Scott Thomas) asks whether he’ll “consider a shower,” he drolly responds, “Yeah, it’s a tempting offer, but I don’t think that’s appropriate right now. I mean apart from anything else, one of my team just died.”

Slow Horses was adapted for television from Mick Herron’s Slough House novel series by creator and showrunner Will Smith (Veep). It’s up for a whopping nine Emmy Awards this year, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Oldman.

The returning cast features Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan, and Jonathan Pryce, with Joanna Scanlan, Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke, and James Callis as new additions.

Season 4 of Slow Horses returns to Apple TV+ on September 4th, with a new episode dropping every Wednesday through October 9th.
