Contrarian released its previous album, Sage of Shekhina, on Willowtip Records in 2023.
Contrarian is working on their sixth album and they've got a familiar face with 'em in the studio! Contrarian is rejoined by drummer George Kollias (Nile), who originally played for the band between 2014 and 2019.
"To wrap up line-up announcements for new album… Guess who's back? Yes, recording has begun on new album and OG George Kollias is back at it!" wrote Contrarian of the new lineup.
According to a press release, Contrarian is working on a new record called Escaping Depravity with engineer Doug White at Watchmen Studios. A touring line-up has also been established to support the upcoming album, though it's not clear on who that is just yet.
