Gerard Way Hints at New My Chemical Romance Album: “You Guys Deserve Another Record, and We’d Love to Make It”

My Chemical Romance haven’t released an album in 16 years, and frontman Gerard Way addressed the absence of new MCR music — beyond a 2022 one-off single “The Foundations of Decay” — during their show at San Antonio’s Alamodome on Saturday, September 12th. “We should probably make more songs,” Way told the crowd. “‘[The Foundations of] Decay’ was really awesome; let’s keep doing it. Stuff happens, life happens, but just know that we kind of really always wanted to make another record.
