She's released the lovely track "The Dream Of Common Language" to announce her new EP Songs Of Devotion, which is out Oct. 16.The forthcoming EP is influenced by interrogating the complexities of language and miscommunication. This single specifically was inspired by Adrienne Rich's poetry collection The Dream Of A Common Language, which Harvey happened upon on in a charity shop.In a press release she shared a detailed, eloquent explanation of "The Dream Of Common Language," saying: It’s a song about giving up on love to pursue the search for deeper philosophical understanding, in the face of language and its failures.
