Featuring on the soundtrack to Grand Theft Auto 6’s ‘An Extended Look’ trailer has given some artists an absolutely giant boost in streaming numbers. The 26-minute special gave fans an in-depth look at the world of Vice City, dual protagonists Lucia and Jason, as well as several new and improved gameplay mechanics. The showcase racked up more than 31.1million views in its first few days on Netflix, and was the most-watched show on the streamer in 87 of the 93 countries that Netflix services. A further 20million people have watched on YouTube. ‘An Extended Look’ featured more than a dozen songs and, according to a new report, they’ve all received a huge boost in streaming numbers – particularly with Gen-Z listeners.
