Gus Dapperton announces new album 4 Dear Life and shares “Queen”

Dapperton’s follow up to 2023's Henge and the 2024 EP Tunes For Late Spring will feature guest appearances from Ledbyher, A-Trak, spill tab, and hard life. He describes the album as an attempt to find hope in times of struggle and a reset from social media. “I’ve been so pissed off the last couple years about the state of the world,” he explained in a press statement, channelling those feelings into "Queen", a song about the tyranny of men. Check out the video below. Born Brendan Rice in Warwick, New York, Dapperton began releasing music independently in 2016. His full-length debut, Where Polly People Go to Read, arrived in 2019, followed by Orca in 2020 and Henge in 2023. He moved from AWAL to Warner for the latter. In 2025, he launched the experimental alias Loose Goose, releasing tracks including “She Got The Funk” with Hard Life and “holding on” with A-Trak. He has also modelled for a luxury fashion house and wrote and directed a feature film, The Isdal Man about a lovesick American who travels to remote Norway to get to the bottom of a cold case. 4 Dear Life artwork
