Henry Rollins has announced a new memoir about his challenging childhood and early life, to be titled Bait Dog Boy. The book will focus on the former Black Flag frontman’s difficult upbringing in Washington, D.C., a time in which he moved between his parents and came into contact with abusive and unreliable adults. It will go on to cover his meeting with Ian MacKaye, who would go on to front Minor Threat, and how their mutual discovery of punk changed their lives and gave them a way out. Bait Dog Boy will be published on March 2 next year via Random House in the US and Little, Brown in the UK. Fans can pre-order their copy here.
