‘Hogwarts Legacy 2’ is officially in the works

A sequel to the hugely popular Hogwarts Legacy has finally been confirmed by Warner Bros. Games. Despite a planned boycott of the game over Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling’s anti-trans views, the title went on to become one of the best-selling video games of all time. Despite the success, a sequel was never officially announced. It was reported last year that planned DLC for Hogwarts Legacy was scrapped so developers could focus on a “high priority” sequel. However, Netflix’s planned $82.7billion takeover of Warner Bros Discovery left the future of Hogwarts Legacy up in the air after it was revealed the streamer had no immediate plans for the game studio. Netflix ultimately walked away from the deal though, with Paramount Skydance offering more money for Warner Bros Discovery. In February, Warner Bros’ gaming boss JB Perrette promised that 2027 and 2028 would see the return of their biggest franchises after a “reset” following the disappointing launches of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and MultiVersus....
