How Strange It Is release their second album There Is No Evil next month, and it's going to be a treat. The Portland band reeled us in with the shoegazey pop-rock chaos of "Slime," which posed a compelling contrast to its whispery, Sparklehorse-indebted followup single "Tough Luck." Now, we get the sly, engrossing "Holladay Park," which, despite being under two minutes, contains seismic levels of catharsis in its huge chorus, with guitars that come crashing in hard enough to knock you off your feet.
