A sequel to How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days is in development, with Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey planned to reprise their roles. The 2003 romantic comedy starred Hudson as magazine columnist Andie Anderson and McConaughey as advertising executive Benjamin Barry, with the two taking bets that they can use the other to their own advantage in their private bets, only for the two to end up developing a genuine relationship. According to Variety, a sequel is now in the early stages of development at Paramount, with Hudson attached to produce through her Shiny Penny company. The project is currently seeking a screenwriter, while the case and key creative roles are yet to be formally confirmed. Hudson and McConaughey are in talks to return to their respective roles. Stacey Sher, whose credits include Pulp Fiction, Gattaca and Erin Brockovich, will produce alongside Hudson, although the director, plot details and release date have not been announced. The original film was directed by Donald Petrie and also starred Kathryn Hahn, Adam Goldberg and Thomas Lennon.
