IAMDDB hits back at Israeli government “stealing her identity” by using AI-generated version of her likeness

IAMDDB has hit out at the Israeli government for allegedly “stealing” her identity in an AI-generated video. The clip in question was allegedly posted on Israel’s official social media pages last week (Thursday October 15), and showed a woman reciting lyrics including: “Colonisers? Say the name. Jews from Judea, it’s in the damn name” (via MixMag). The post has now been deleted. Outlets including Manchester Evening News have reported that the video was AI-generated and was posted with the caption “‘GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM!’ We did.” In the clip, the AI-generated person performing bore a resemblance to Portuguese-born, Manchester-based rapper IAMDDB, and a photoshoot she did for a Crack profile back in 2018.
