After weeks of online banter, Insomniac dropped a patch that addresses scent trails that lead players to certain objectives and the game's collectibles, pretty much eliminating the need to explore and find them. As part of the patch, players can now toggle scent trails on and off; these trails lead to the whiskey bottle collectibles. You can also turn off the purple roots that lead you to Nightmare Doors.
