Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has teased a new solo album, which he is recording at Dave Grohl‘s Studio 606. Dickinson previously released his last record ‘The Mandrake Project’ in 2024 following on from ‘Tyranny Of Souls’, which was shared back in 2005. Along with an album, ‘The Mandrake Project’ was a cross-media multimedia concept, combining the record with a 12-issue quarterly adult comic book series. But Dickinson has now confirmed in a new interview with VSX, that he is working on a new LP due for release in 2027 on BMG. “It’s kind of standalone. There’s one song that has a bit of something to do with ‘Mandrake’,” he said. “Now, the album is heavy as shit. I’m not digging into ‘Mandrake’. I think ‘Mandrake’ has a life now on a comic book level, so it can just go on the basis of story and everything else. I don’t need to associate music with it unless it’s a really good idea.” He went on to say that he tries not to repeat his output from previous records, adding: “You want to move on and put different nuance on things.
