Unlike the characters in the previous films, Gemma can also bring the entities that inhabit the Further into the real world, allowing them to target her and her daughter Maya (Island Austin). The cast also includes Brandon Perea, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Sam Spruell and Laura Gordon, while Lin Shaye reprises her role as psychic medium Elise Rainier.
