It Has Been Eight Years Since We Lost CHESTER BENNINGTON, Today

Many of us can probably remember when the news hit – when we first saw the headline that Linkin Park's Chester Bennington is no longer with us.

And while Linkin Park has taken careful consideration as to the steps they took, years after Bennington's death, there still needs to be grace and love given to those who remember Linkin Park with Chester, as well as just Chester Bennington, himself.

Born in Phoenix, Arizona on March 20th, 1976, Chester was just 41-years-old when he took his own life in Palos Verdes Estates, California on July 20th, 2017.

Bennington went through a lot in a short period of time as a child – long-term sexual abuse at the hands of an older friend from when Chester was seven to 13, his parents' divorce at 11, and his bout of escapism through drugs in high school.

Yet, Chester made something of himself – he threw his entire being into music. He joined a band in 1993, recording two albums, before leaving and finding himself as co-vocalist of the legendary nu-metal band we know now, Linkin Park.

Chester sang and screamed for Linkin Park for 18 years before his death. And it has been eight years since we lost Chester Bennington, today.

What is your favourite memory of, or involving, Chester?
