Jaafar Jackson Says Michael Sequel Will Finally Provide Jackson’s POV on Child Abuse Allegations

At some point in the future, Jaafar Jackson will once again play his uncle Michael Jackson in the sequel to this year’s Michael. And when he does, he believes that the movie will give “even more insight” into the star’s POV on the allegations of child sexual abuse that Jackson faced beginning in 1993. “At the end of the day, [the allegations] are always from someone else’s [point of view],” the actor told GQ Middle East. “It’s someone else’s story. It’s someone else’s idea of what it is, and it’s mainly driven by an agenda. And that’s really the issue we’ve been having as a family – not having Michael’s voice being heard. I think that’s very, very important, especially in the late years.” Originally, Michael had heavily featured the accusations against Michael Jackson, only to be rewritten and reshot after it was revealed that a previous legal settlement prevented the movie from depicting one of the accusers.
