The NFL has officially confirmed JAY-Z as the headliner of the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

After word of JAY-Z’s upcoming performance first leaked in the media last week, the NFL and Apple Music made the news official during Monday Night Football earlier this evening.

Since 2019, JAY-Z’s Roc Nation has overseen the production of the Super Bowl Halftime Show and other major NFL music events. According to Puck News, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus were also considered for the 2027 halftime show before JAY-Z ultimately settled on himself for the coveted gig.

The performance will mark JAY-Z’s first appearance on the Super Bowl Halftime Show stage and follows a series of high-profile stadium concerts in 2026 celebrating the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint.

Super Bowl LXI takes place on Sunday, February 14th, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
