Jerry Cantrell is now streaming his latest solo single "I Want Blood" from the album of the same name, due out on October 18. The single features some bass work from Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan and some killer drumming from Faith No More's Mike Bordin.
"There's a confidence to this album," said Cantrell. "I think it's some of my best writing and playing and certainly some of my best singing. There are large chunks of this record where I felt like my face was pressed to the ceiling of my abilities, operating at the top of my capacity."
I Want Blood features additional contributions from bass heavyweight Robert Trujillo (Metallica), drummer Gil Sharone (Team Sleep, Stolen Babies), and backing vocals from Lola Colette and Greg Puciato (Better Lovers, ex-Dillinger Escape Plan).
Pre-orders are available here. The press release for "I Want Blood" also notes that a North American tour will be announced soon, so keep an eye out for those dates.
