Joan Jett cancels tour dates due to “healing process” after surgery

However, she has taken to social media to tell fans that the dates have been cancelled. On Instagram stories, Jett’s team wrote: “Following a recent injury, Joan Jett has undergone orthopaedic surgery on a fractured vertebrae and will begin the necessary healing process.” The statement adds that Jett made the decision “in close consultation with her doctors”, continuing: “While Joan hates to disappoint fans, she will be taking this time to focus on physical therapy and healing. She’s looking forward to delivering tremendous concerts for many years to come”. The news follows on the heels of Joan Jett’s recent UK tour, which marked her first headline tour across the pond in 16 years.
