June McDoom – “Human Angel”

At the end of the week, after years of impressive EPs, New York's June McDoom will release her full-length debut album Follow The Light. She's thus far showed off her proclivity for dream-state folk via the singles "Without You" and "Get Out Of My Life." Now comes "Human Angel," a song that merges acoustic balladry with regal Kate Bush sophistipop and a subtly kicking drum part that makes the most out of stuttering syncopation and breakbeat-worthy fills.

Rena Johnson directed the video, which you can watch below.

Follow The Light is out 10/16 on Jagjaguwar. Pre-order it here.
